The Silver Lining

Although this week has been AWFUL, I have had more snuggle time with my baby than I've had since she was two months old.

The Week of Ick

Our precious girl has been sick for a straight week!! First it was a reaction to her vaccines, then it was a stomach bug, now just throw a viral cold on top of all of it. She is totally drained, and not eating much. We are going to see the doctor again tomorrow...I want my baby to feel good again!!!

While rice cereal was a welcomed addition to the diet, carrots were met with less enthusiasm...

Yummy in the Tummy

Stella started eating rice cereal this week. It's just a tablespoon to start, but she is loving it!!! She even likes to help direct the spoon in to her mouth. Apparently we can't feed her fast enough :) Tonight we start carrots. Woo-hoo!!!

This Just In...

Well, we have great and somewhat surprising news...Stella will be getting a little brother or sister for her 1st birthday (or technically a little before). That's right, I am 8 weeks PREGNANT!!! Although it wasn't "planned" we are elated and can't wait to get a new addition to the Little family!! Stella liked seeing the first ultrasound of her sibling (babies really enjoy black and white images). Our little Little will be here around May 31st, 2009.

Peanut Butter Tummy Time

Stella is tolerating tummy time a lot more these days. She rolls over on to her tummy almost immediately after being placed on her back, so I guess she really doesn't have a choice!!
Oh, and she still loves her "Stellaphante" (see purple and green spotted elephant). It's so fun to be able to name stuffed animals again :)

Stella's Newest B.F.F.

Amanda had her baby at 12:07pm today. It's a healthy, beautiful baby girl named, Elle Grace!!!! Of course the sex was a surprise, and I was wrong. Guess I had a 50/50 shot, right????
Elle was 7.5 oz, and 20.5 in.
Amanda did a great job and everybody is overjoyed with the new addition!!!

Stella's in the Air

Ally got married last weekend and Stella's first major trip, to Kansas, was a success! We were pretty nervous about the flights, because nobody wants to be the one with the screaming child for 2 hours, but she was really good. Once we got to Wichita, the whole Barnes crew got to meet Stella, hold, love, and squeeze her. It's almost like hazing, but in a fun way :) It was a packed four-day wedding extravaganza, and btw Ally's wedding was really beautiful!!!
We also went to Sedan so Grandma Dean, or as Annie has named her "MAKA DEAN", could meet her newest great grandbabies for the first time. You can see the joy in her eyes...it brought tears to mine.
