Stella's in the Air

Ally got married last weekend and Stella's first major trip, to Kansas, was a success! We were pretty nervous about the flights, because nobody wants to be the one with the screaming child for 2 hours, but she was really good. Once we got to Wichita, the whole Barnes crew got to meet Stella, hold, love, and squeeze her. It's almost like hazing, but in a fun way :) It was a packed four-day wedding extravaganza, and btw Ally's wedding was really beautiful!!!
We also went to Sedan so Grandma Dean, or as Annie has named her "MAKA DEAN", could meet her newest great grandbabies for the first time. You can see the joy in her eyes...it brought tears to mine.

Born Again Photographer

As most of you know I have been dabbling in photography since high school. I was really in to black and white, 35mm photography, but never really successfully advanced to digital. But today my friend Neesha came over and gave me a few tips. Now I feel inspired to take pictures all day long!! Luckily I have the PERFECT subject....my little angel baby!!

When Stella Smiles and Cries...

When Stella smiles it makes you want to talk to her in your most shameless baby voice, make silly faces, and coo just so it never ends!! It's really difficult to capture just how precious it is, but trust me, her smile is priceless!
On the other end of the spectrum, today she had to get her two month vaccinations. Talk about a heart breaking experience! When the nurse sticks your child six separate times, it makes you want to grab your baby and run! Stella's red faced, screaming cry hurt my heart.
Although Stella seems fine, a little sleepy, but fine...I am hoping for more smiles tonight to help get me over that traumatic experience!
